Dear ProStar Surfaces,
It is my pleasure to submit this letter of recommendation for ProStar Surfaces. Your company has partnered with Marquette University on so many wood floor installations, rehabilitations and annual maintenance projects over the years that it is difficult to remember them all. What I do remember however is that all of them resulted in a positive result for Marquette.
ProStar was involved with projects before my arrival in 1982, but I distinctly remember my first project in July of that year. We had some moisture problems in the Helfaer Center racquetball and squash courts and we were under a time crunch to get things resolved. The job was completed on time as promised and with very personal care and diligence. Since that time, I have personally worked with you on the installation of the wood multi-purpose room floor at Helfaer (5 basketball courts), construction of the arena and practice court wood floors at the Al McGuire Center (2003), at least one new portable court at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, and countless annual maintenance procedures on all of our wood floors.
After all these years and all these projects there are several key points about our relationship that persist. Your company has and continues to provide personal service with a priority on doing whatever is required to do the job on-time and with promised results. You know the wood floor business from top to bottom – new construction to repairs to the best products for the best results. And, as stated earlier, your personalized service is very important and comforting.
Thank you for your years of service and do not hesitate to use me as a reference. Take care and l Iook forward to working with you as always this spring and summer as we plan annual maintenance.

Dear Mr. Koller:
As I look to my impending retirement this summer from the University, I wish to recognize ProStar Surfaces and in particular you as one of the vendors that have made my professional life over the past thirty years an easy road to travel.
As I’m sure you will recall our first encounter was the installation of the thirty-two thousand square feet of maple gym flooring and the Fiberesin panels for twelve racquetball courts that ProStar installed in the newly constructed Southeast Recreational Facility in 1983. May I add that the floors and panels look as good today as they did when they were installed twenty -nine years ago. I also had the opportunity to work with you on replacing our 1/10 of a mile three lane synthetic track surface in 2008 and I’m happy to share with you that the surface is performing beautifully.
In closing I wish to thank you and ProStar Surfaces for the fine and reliable work you provided UW-Madison and me with during my tenure.
