Hardwood Flooring

Some of the sleepers in the gym at Morrison High School in Morris, IL needed to be fixed or replaced. Our team came in, removed the existing floor, and fixed the sleepers, the strips of wood laid on top of a subloor to which the hardwood floor is attached. The end result is a beautiful, level gym floor. 

A high school in east central Wisconsin is enjoying not one but two refreshed gym areas. Prostar's installation experts laid a brand-new, 10,500 sq. ft. maple gym floor in one gym, and resanded and recoated more than 9,400 sq. ft. of another gym's floor.

The Champion Hall Fitness Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is 75,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art fitness facility open to all students and staff with memberships at the school. Our flooring experts laid a fitness wood floor in the addition to the facility. 

Hammond Sportsplex is in northern Indiana. It's a 135,000 sq. ft. facilty that is currently undergoing a major $10M addition. The facility is creating buildings for volleball, basketball, and soccer teams so they have their own place to practice and hold tournaments and league teams.Our team is laying a new wood gym floor and Infilled Synthetic Turf System.

A new hardwood gym floor was installed at North Mac High School in Virden, IL, enhancing the space that has served as a community building since 1940. This new hardwood flooring installation covers more than 20,000 sq. ft. and features a basketball court along with an upper level designated for small group practices. The facility also includes locker rooms, bathrooms, a weight room, and a referees' room, ensuring that proper floor care and maintenance can be easily managed.

This new, 45,000 sq. ft. recreation facility features four full-sized basketball courts, six volleyball courts, and 12 pickleball courts, alongside specialized sports medicine team rooms and a beer garden and lounge. A unique aspect of this layout is the smaller half-gym area, which includes nine basketball shooting cages. This versatile space can easily be transformed into pickleball or volleyball courts. Additionally, for those interested in maintaining the quality of the facility, professional floor care services, including hardwood flooring repair and hardwood floor installation, are available to ensure the courts remain in top condition.

Prostar is proud to do so much work in Boys and Girls Clubs throughout the midwest. We recently completed a 10,700 sq. ft. wood flooring project in Ripon, Wisconsin. There, the community spent the past decade working on plans for the new facility. Inside there is an art room, locker room with showers and laundry, a dance studio, a licensed daycare, and a teen employment center, and of course, the brand-new gym floor for kids to get some exercise and burn a little energy.
